Happy Birthday Lucy!

Today our little Lucy turns ONE! This is a big feat for such a lil' pup. But more amazing is that through these past 9 months, we've been able to watch her flourish and grow to more than double the size. Her legs are longer allowing her to run around and jump much easier. She's not as fearful of taking baths and taking car rides. Lets just say, at 6.8 pounds, she's a big girl now.

Last Saturday we celebrated her birthday with a bbq at the park and she got to invite her other furry friends. She had a blast being the center of attention. Thank you to everyone that made her day so special!

Lucy Now on Blog

I wish we started blogging about Lucy when we first got her last year in September. We have so many wonderful memories since this little pooch, all of a mere 3 pounds, came into our lives. We fell in love from day 1, and she STILL captivates our hearts. Hopefully through this blog, we can share our sweet Lucy with the world.

                           Lucy dog tired from her cross-country trip

Lucy arrived in San Francisco from Wisconsin one fall September day in 2008. This was a big trip a little 3 month old puppy had to make all by herself, enduring more than five hours of travel all alone. 

When Lucy arrived at the airport, in the smallest kennel of the bunch, she was scared and uncertain of the new life ahead of her. Little did she know she had a wonderful family waiting for her. During the car ride home, she stared inquisitively at her adoptive parents and soon realized she was safe, falling asleep for the remainder of the drive home, in their arms.
